Instructor Development Course

This course will give officers the ability to research, prepare and communicate knowledge in the field of law enforcement. Lessons focus on setting instructional objectives, factors that influence adult learning, communication skills, the instructional process, and methods of evaluating course effectiveness. Successful students will receive certification for General Topics. The course is offered by local law enforcement agencies and academies. This important course is a prerequisite for other instructor courses since it covers basic instructional techniques.
