Apply for HEAP starting on Nov. 16th
Applications for the 2015-2016 HEAP season will be accepted starting Monday, November 16th at the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services located at 1 Leo Moss Dr, Olean, New York. HEAP interviews will be taken on a walk-in basis, Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 3:00.
If you are required to have an interview, you may have your interview conducted over the phone if you are unable to come into the office for a face-to-face, and this agency has received a completed HEAP application. You may be eligible to mail in your application, without an interview, if you received HEAP benefits last year. Please let the receptionist know that you have an emergency when you call or walk in.
Heating Equipment Emergency
If you have a heating equipment emergency, you can apply for that starting November 9th, and you must apply in person for that type of HEAP service. To call for an application, or to report an emergency, you may contact this agency at 716-373-8065.

Outreach services will be conducted by the Department of Aging for those individuals over 60 years of age. You may contact that agency at 716-701-8032 or toll free at 1-800-462-2901 for more information on how to apply and the days/hours of operation.
