Talk on Governor Frank Higgins
The Cattaraugus County Museum participates in New York State's "Path Through History" on June 20 with talk on Governor Frank Higgins.
The Cattaraugus County Museum is pleased to announce that it will participate in the statewide "Path Through History" program on Saturday, June 20. The museum will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm, with a special program being given at 1:00. Speaker Ronnie Beverly will be on hand to give a talk on the life and times of former New York State governor Frank Higgins. The 35th governor of New York, Higgins was born in Rushford and later resided in Elmira. Mr. Beverly is a retired firefighter from Buffalo who lives in Rushford and whose interest in Gov. Higgins began in 1989 when he purchased the house in which Higgins was born and raised. This will be a very interesting program on the life of an important figure from our area. Come check it out!
The museum is located in the Stone House, 9824 Rt. 16, Machias, NY. This event is free and open to the public.
