19th Annual Rural Landowner Workshop
Cornell University Cooperative Extension is sponsoring the 19th Annual Rural Landowner Workshop on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Registration begins at 8:00 AM and classes start at 9:00 AM. There will be three concurrent sessions with approximately four classes per session and you must choose one class per session.
The Rural Landowner Workshop is a regional program involving several agencies that provide educational information and outreach to landowners. Presenters are brought in from both private and public sectors to provide participants with up-to-date information. Some of this year's topic highlights are:
- Managing Woods for a Diversity of Wildlife,
- Tasty Sweet Treats from the Woods,
- Landowner Liability Under Current NYS Law,
- Sawtimber and Wildlife Management,
- Firewood from Private Woodlots,
- The Safe Use of ATV's in Woodlots,
- Animals at the Top of the Food Chain,
- Safe Use of Chainsaws

Cost is $30.00 per person, this includes lunch, a copy of the seminar proceedings, and all handout materials.
The program will be held at Pioneer Central School located on County Line Road in Yorkshire, NY. There is a cost for this program and pre-registration is required. The deadline has been extended.
