9/11 Memorial Blood Drive on Fire, EMS & First Responder Day
As we once again prepare to remember those lost with a National Day of Service and Remembrance, the Red Cross encourages people to consider rolling up their sleeves to give the gift of life in honor of the victims. The 9th annual September 11th Memorial Blood Drive will be held on Saturday, September 11th, from 9am - 5pm at the Olean Center Mall. The first 300 presenting blood donors will receive a "Do More Than Remember" t-shirt. In addition, there will be free food and prizes, including a drawing for two pairs of Buffalo Bills game tickets.
Also during the blood drive, there will be a 9/11 Memorial Fire & EMS Day held in the parking lot of the mall from 10am - 3pm. Fire and EMS companies will have rescue equipment on site. In addition, Portville Truck & Auto Repair, Inc. will do two Heavy Duty Wrecker Shows. The first show will be held at 11am and the second will be at 1pm. Trappers Chicken Barbeque will also be set-up and selling chicken dinners in the parking lot throughout the day.
Over the past eight years, the Annual 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive has become a wonderful opportunity for Southern Tier residents to come together in memory of those lost on September 11th and donate blood so that others may survive. We are confident we can rely on the Southern Tier community to make this the largest 9/11 blood drive ever held in Olean! Please help us advertise this year's event by forwarding this email to your co-workers, colleagues, family and friends.
