Benefit for the Thomas Havers on Friday, May 15th at 6:00pm at the Allegany Knights of Columbus

About Tom and his family

Tom and his wife, Amy, have four young children and have been experiencing a significant amount of difficulty recently. He has been suffering from a recent diagnosis (about 9-10 weeks) of Arnold Chiari's disease, in which he just had to undergo brain surgery (on April 6th) in an effort to try to help correct/lessen this disease. In addition to that, the week before his surgery (March 24th), he and his wife had a new hot water tank installed in their home. The home caught fire that night and a significant amount of damage has occurred. The family is currently living with family members and are waiting for their home to be repaired. Tom will not be returning to work for 6-8 months. The children have been displaced from their home, during the school year, and the family has had to adjust their lifestyle tremendously.
