On Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 there will be a Farmland Protection: Purchase of Development Rights Workshop

This workshop is being held at the Town of Great Valley Municipal Building, 4808 Route 219, Great Valley, NY

Brought to you by: the Western New York Land Conservancy, the American Farmland Trust, the Cattaraugus County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, and the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism.

This workshop was designed for:

farm landowners
public officials
town planning boards
town attorneys
grant writers
appraisers
and anyone interested in farmland protection

This workshop provides a comprehensive review of the process for creating successful Purchase of Development Rights (PDR) projects and programs in your communities.

The presenters are:

Diane Held, American Farmland Trust, Western New York Field Representative
Jason Engel, Grants Manager for NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets
